MOREL UNVEILS THE NEW ELATE CARBON NEO SERIES

A new generation of the acclaimed Elate platform brings greater resolution, dynamics, musical realism and a striking new design to high-performance car audio.

September 29, 2026 — Ness Ziona, Israel — Morel, a global leader in handcrafted high performance loudspeaker technology, announces the launch of the Elate Carbon Neo and Elate Carbon Neo Pro — the next evolution of its acclaimed Elate Carbon series. For years, Elate has occupied a distinctive position within Morel’s car audio portfolio: bringing much of the refinement, technology and musicality associated with the company’s reference-level products to a platform engineered for ambitious real-world automotive installations.

The new Elate Carbon Neo Series takes that philosophy further. Rather than reinventing what already made Elate Carbon successful, Morel focused on the areas that matter most when the music begins: lower distortion, greater efficiency, faster transient response, improved high-frequency performance and an even stronger sense of openness, control and realism.

And for the first time, the exterior design has been elevated to celebrate the engineering within. Each driver is framed by a precision CNC-machined brushed-aluminum contour, accentuating the proportions, materials and construction of the driver itself. The result is a loudspeaker that is no longer simply a component to conceal, but an object of precision engineering and craftsmanship worthy of becoming part of the installation. The result is an Elate that is more revealing, more dynamic and more engaging — and visually every bit as distinctive as its performance.

ENGINEERED TO DISAPPEAR. DESIGNED TO BE SEEN

Great loudspeakers should disappear sonically and allow the performance to take their place. But great engineering deserves to be celebrated. At the heart of Elate Carbon Neo are Morel’s TLC Triple-Layer carbon-fiber/Rohacell composite-cone woofers and midrange. Their low-mass, rigid construction supports precise movement and detailed reproduction while Morel’s large external voice-coil architecture and optimized motor systems provide the control and power handling required for serious high-performance automotive systems.

The ECN MW6 uses a 3-inch voice coil and is rated at 180 W RMS, while the ECN MW9 combines a 3-inch voice coil with 200 W RMS power handling. Refined motor and suspension structures improve linearity and transient response, allowing the system to move from subtle musical detail to high dynamic output with authority. Completing the driver lineup, the ECN MM3 midrange — a 3.9-inch neodymium-motor driver built on the same TLC cone architecture — bridges the woofers and tweeters in three-way configurations. Rated at 120 W RMS with 87 dB sensitivity, the MM3 extends the platform’s resolution and dynamic control across the vocal and midrange spectrum, giving installers a fully matched three-way Elate Carbon Neo system without stepping outside the platform’s sonic signature.

Surrounding this technology is the new CNC-machined brushed-aluminum detailing. More than decoration, its precision-machined form visually expresses the same attention to detail found throughout the driver. Carbon-fiber textures, aluminum, precision machining and Morel’s distinctive driver architecture come together in a purposeful, contemporary aesthetic.

The difference is not simply more output. It is more music — more texture, more space, more micro-detail, more impact when the recording demands it, and greater delicacy when it does not.

Elate Carbon Neo

Elate Carbon Neo continues the Elate tradition of exceptional high-power, high-fidelity performance in a more installation-friendly format. It introduces the new MT-550 tweeter, featuring Morel’s handcrafted 28 mm Acuflex™- coated soft dome and an optimized double-neodymium motor system. Rated at 130 W RMS with 90 dB sensitivity and a stated frequency response of 1,400–25,000 Hz, the MT-550 combines improved efficiency and low distortion with the smooth, natural tonal balance associated with Morel. Matched with the Elate Carbon Neo woofers and midrange, it gives installers a flexible platform for sophisticated two-way and three-way systems while preserving the musical character at the heart of the Elate name.

Elate Carbon Neo Pro

Elate Carbon Neo Pro takes the same foundation further for systems where the highest expression of the platform is required. At its heart is the refined ECN Alto tweeter, incorporating a more powerful neodymium motor system and Morel’s newly developed ASW™ Anti-Standing Wave rear chamber. The chamber is engineered to reduce internal resonance and distortion behind the dome, supporting greater clarity, openness and spatial definition. The Alto uses a 28 mm hand-coated Acuflex™ tall soft dome, is rated at 180 W RMS, offers 91.5 dB sensitivity and a stated response of 1,400–25,000 Hz. In a properly designed system, its higher output capability and refined rear-chamber architecture help reveal small spatial cues, vocal presence and the dimensional information that makes a recording feel convincing.

WHEN ENGINEERING BECOMES DESIGN

High-end automotive installations have evolved. Drivers are increasingly integrated into custom door panels, pillars and interior structures where the loudspeaker itself becomes part of the visual environment. Elate Carbon Neo was designed accordingly. The new CNC-machined brushed-aluminum contours accentuate each driver and create a precise visual transition between the loudspeaker and its surroundings. The metallic finish complements the technical character of the carbon-fiber composite cones and the re-engineered die-cast aluminum chassis.
Nothing is added simply for decoration. The materials, machining and proportions are intended to communicate what the product represents: precision engineering, advanced materials and uncompromising attention to detail. It is a loudspeaker designed to perform beautifully — and engineered to look the part.

BUILT FOR THE INSTALLER. CREATED FOR THE LISTENER.

The series supports both passive and active system design. Passive configurations use Morel’s MXT280C two-way and MXT380C three-way crossover networks, with bi-wire/biamp capability and level adjustment. For advanced active systems, Morel provides recommended crossover guidance while allowing experienced installers to optimize around the processor, mounting positions and vehicle acoustics. For the installer, this means flexibility across two-way and three-way configurations, including 6½-inch and 9-inch system options. For the listener, the technology is intended to disappear. What remains is the performance: a voice suspended naturally between the pillars, the texture of a guitar string, the weight of a kick drum, the ambience surrounding a live recording and the quiet details that turn listening into an emotional experience.

THE NEXT CHAPTER OF ELATE

For more than five decades, Morel has developed loudspeakers around a simple belief: technical innovation matters when it brings the listener closer to the music. Elate Carbon Neo combines advanced materials, Morel’s large external voice-coil engineering, handcrafted soft-dome tweeters, precision CNC-machined aluminum detailing and decades of acoustic knowledge into a platform designed for today’s most ambitious car audio systems. Elate Carbon Neo delivers a new level of performance, design and versatility within the Elate family. Elate Carbon Neo Pro takes that foundation further for listeners and installers seeking the ultimate expression of the platform.

Two systems. Two levels of performance.
One unmistakable Morel philosophy: UNLEASH THE MUSIC.
