Going for the Win

The team at Stereo & Video Center in Tyler, Texas aimed to strike a balance between functionality and sound quality in this competition-level build.

This 2023 Nissan Altima features a full Ground Zero build, powered by the GZ Reference K-165, T-26 and M-80; with a GZRW 38-D2 38 cm / 15-inch high quality subwoofer; Plutonium GZPA 2SQ 2-channel high performance SQ amplifier; and two GZPA 4SQ 4-channel high performance SQ amplifiers.
The car was built for James Halter’s wife, Amanda, who competed in car audio competitions. “The goal of the build was to have an amazing-sounding system with the ability to score well at sound-offs,” Halter said, adding that it was essential to utilize factory locations as much as possible to maintain room in the trunk. “We were able to accomplish this by utilizing the spare tire location for electronics and a single 15-inch subwoofer.” All of the work was performed at Stereo & Video Center, with installers James Halter, Chris Reed and Devin Dial.
