Metra Launches Aküstik™ Smart Multimedia Receiver and Vehicle Integration Line at SEMA 2026

Three receiver formats, vehicle-specific interfaces, harnesses, and exclusive dash kits create a complete new source-unit program for the mobile electronics channel.

Holly Hill, Fla. – October 26, 2026 – Metra Electronics^® will introduce Aküstik^™, a brand-new line of smart multimedia receivers and vehicle-specific installation solutions, at the 2026 SEMA Show. The launch combines three receiver formats with a broad assortment of radio interfaces, extension and power harnesses, exclusive radio-specific dash kits, and universal mounting adapters. Together, these products give sales and installation partners a coordinated path from product selection to the finished dashboard.

Aküstik enters the market as businesses across the mobile electronics channel reevaluate their in-dash radio assortments and look for a fresh multimedia receiver line they can confidently support. Rather than requiring each business to build a program around a standalone radio, Aküstik is backed by Metra’s vehicle integration and installation expertise, creating new opportunities for complete vehicle-specific packages while reducing uncertainty during product selection and installation.

The launch lineup offers 9-inch and 10.1-inch touchscreen formats, including fixed-display, floating-screen, and vehicle-specific mounting options. Each receiver is designed around the connectivity customers expect, while Aküstik interfaces and dash kits help retain supported factory functions and deliver a clean, professional fit in a growing range of applications.

Aküstik Smart Multimedia Receivers

All three Aküstik receivers support Apple CarPlay^® and Android Auto^™ via wired or wireless connections and include Bluetooth^® wireless technology, AM/FM radio, camera inputs, steering wheel audio control readiness, and built-in sound-tuning capabilities. Model-specific features include high-resolution touchscreens, time alignment, graphic equalization, subwoofer level control, RCA preamp outputs, and shallow mounting designs.

• AK-10.1F:1-inch Floating-Screen Smart Multimedia Receiver with a 1280×720 touchscreen, adjustable display angle, shallow single-DIN chassis, installation compatibility with Metra 95- or 99-Series dash kits, six-channel 4-volt RCA outputs, and built-in amplifier delivering up to 50 watts through four channels

Vehicle Integration Designed Around Aküstik

Aküstik radio interfaces are designed specifically for the new receivers and support essential factory features based on the vehicle application. Available functions may include steering wheel audio controls, factory backup and specialty cameras, OEM USB and auxiliary inputs, factory amplifiers, safety chimes, vehicle personalization settings, and HVAC information or control. The lineup also includes universal power harnesses to support clean, streamlined connections.

The Aküstik launch also includes vehicle-specific dash kits engineered exclusively for the AK-9T and AK-10T. Because the radios, mounting components, and dash kits are designed to work together, sales and installation partners can create complete packages with a coordinated fit and fewer questions about product compatibility. The kits are not designed for other aftermarket radios and include the required mounting hardware and installation instructions. Universal adapters allow compatible 9-inch dash kits to accept the AK-10T or compatible 10-inch dash kits to accept the AK-9T.
